Settlement Status

A federal judge granted final approval of the settlement on November 17, 2015. Under the settlement, Target will pay $10 million to cover consumer class claims. The settlement class is defined as:

“All persons in the United States whose credit or debit card information and/or whose personal information was compromised as a result of the data breach that was first disclosed by Target on December 19, 2013.”

Rust Consulting, Inc. has been appointed settlement administrator for purposes of notifying the class. The claim submission deadline was July 31, 2015, and as such, no additional claims are being accepted. Information regarding the settlement is available at the following website:
