Cymbalta Withdrawal Litigation
Cymbalta Lawsuit History
The first case we filed against Eli Lilly and Company alleges that Eli Lilly violated consumer protection law when it omitted material information in its promotion and marketing of Cymbalta—namely, that Cymbalta causes a high percentage of consumers who attempt to stop taking it to experience withdrawal reactions (contrary to the label). That case is Strafford v. Eli Lilly & Co., Case No. 12-cv-09366 (C.D. Cal.). The Strafford case, filed on October 31, 2012, is a proposed class action lawsuit brought on behalf of Cymbalta consumers in four states (California, New York, Massachusetts, and Missouri).
In addition, we and our Co-Counsel filed individual Cymbalta withdrawal personal injury lawsuits in various federal courts across the United States and in a coordinated (JCCP) case pending in California State Court in Los Angeles.
