Albany, NY Nurse Wage Antitrust Conspiracy
United States District Court for the District of New York
Case No. 1:03-cv-0765-TJM-DRH
Case History
Keller Rohrback served as Co-Lead Counsel in this antitrust action. The complaint was filed in late 2006 alleging a conspiracy among five hospital defendants in Albany, New York to set compensation paid to their nurse employees. During the course of the litigation, The Honorable Judge Thomas McAvoy of the Northern District of New York certified a class of nurses employed by the defendant hospitals for certain aspects of their claims. The Court denied the Defendants joint motion for summary judgment and the Defendants’ motion to strike the Plaintiffs’ expert testimony in the opinion, Fleishman v. Albany Medical Center, 728 F.Supp. 130 (N.D.N.Y. 2010).
Settlements
The matter was concluded with the collection of over $14.1 million in settlement collected from the various Defendants (and distributed to the class).
