Was Your Financial Information Compromised in the Capital One Financial Data Breach?
Keller Rohrback is investigating reports that Capital One’s server was compromised, exposing the sensitive personal information of 106 million credit card customers and applicants. On several occasions between March and July 2019, a hacker breached Capital One’s data, gaining access to at least 140,000 Social Security numbers, 80,000 bank account numbers, credit limits and scores, balances, payment history, contact information, and Capital One customers’ financial transactions. In the event this information was sold or disseminated, it could be used to locate the most affluent or creditworthy customers and open accounts in their names, leaving consumers and their finances vulnerable.
Financial institutions have a responsibility to keep their customers safe from financial harm. If you or someone you know applied for a Capital One credit card between 2005 and 2019, you could be at risk. Please contact attorney Cari Campen Laufenberg at 800-766-6044 or via email at email@example.com to discuss your concerns and potential legal claims.
