Keller Rohrback L.L.P. Investigates Falsely Labeled “100% Grated Parmesan Cheese”
Keller Rohrback L.L.P. is investigating potential claims against Walmart Stores, Inc. and Kraft Heinz Food Company for misleading customers by selling them “100% Grated Parmesan Cheese” that actually contains anywhere from almost 4-8% cellulose,—a filler and anti-clumping agent often made from wood pulp. In particular, Keller Rohrback L.L.P. is investigating Walmart’s Great Value brand grated parmesan cheese and Kraft’s grated parmesan cheese.
“It’s very simple. Don’t lie to your customers,” said attorney Tana Lin, a member of Keller Rohrback’s nationally-recognized complex litigation group. “If a company tells consumers that its product is ‘100% Grated Parmesan Cheese’, consumers expect that the company is being honest. Instead, many Walmart and Kraft customers are being deceived into topping the pizzas and pastas they are feeding their families with a product that is not 100% grated parmesan cheese.”
Recent independent lab testing showed that Walmart’s Great Value “100% Grated Parmesan Cheese” is not in fact 100% grated parmesan but, rather, contains 7.8% cellulose. The test results also showed that Kraft Heinz Food’s “100% Grated Parmesan Cheese” products tested at 3.8% cellulose content.
If you feel like you have been misled by the deceptive marketing and labeling of “100% Grated Parmesan Cheese” by Walmart or Kraft and would like to know more about your rights, please contact attorneys Tana Lin or Michael Meredith, or paralegal AJ de Vries, at (800) 776-6044 or via email at email@example.com.
