On October 9, 2018, the Court granted final approval to a settlement in the class action involving Chinese-made laminate flooring. The proposed settlement provides for Lumber Liquidators contributing $22 million in cash and an additional $14 million in store-credit vouchers to settle all claims on behalf of two Settlement Classes:
- Carb1 Class for purchasers of Chinese-manufactured laminate flooring from Defendant from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2010
- Carb2/Durability Class for purchasers of Chinese-manufactured laminate flooring from Defendant from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2015
On December 14, 2018, a Notice of Appeal was filed and docketed at the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. The settlement may not move forward until the appeal is resolved.
