National Arbitration Forum

This claim, proceeding in the United States District Court, Western District of Washington, concerns allegations of both unfair and deceptive trade practices and consumer fraud against the National Arbitration Forum, Inc., and various related entities. NAF has held itself out as a neutral, impartial entity before which consumer credit disputes are required to be resolved by the terms of many credit contracts, including most major bank credit card contracts. Following suit by the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General, NAF agreed to stop arbitrating any new consumer arbitrations involving consumer debt issues. A petition before the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation is pending.

Plaintiffs seek recovery of money damages incurred as a result of NAF’s activities and the setting aside of all verdicts and decisions rendered by NAF in consumer credit disputes.
